The Passionate Mind Institute has a strong commitment to direct involvement in the community, both locally and on a global scale. Here are some of the ways that The Passionate Mind Institute engages with the community:

• Promoting literacy in communities where resources and opportunities are scarce
• Providing accessible, up-to-date information to parents and educators about current research in our fields
• Opportunities to help individuals discover their passions and talents
• Community programs that benefit the general welfare of the community and encourage understanding between groups

As Johann Wolfgang von Goethe wrote: "Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Willing is not enough, we must do." The Passionate Mind Institute is not simply an institution of theory. The institute embraces the importance of the practitioner and the responsibility of the individual to use their talents to contribute to a better world.

The Passionate Mind Institute was established in 2016 to educate the public on the social value and specific needs of gifted, creative, and artistic people in our society; to conduct research in the fields of giftedness, talent, and creativity; to promote community welfare and literacy; and to provide community outreach programs that encourage the development and exploration of individual talents.
